Executor Help – Where can I get started?

Our four-part Estate Executor’s Guide will have many of the answers you are looking for. Hundreds of executors have used the Estate Executor’s Guide to work through the steps they need to take to painlessly complete their role without having to engage an estate administration lawyer.

What are the responsibilities of an Executor

The executor must perform a range of duties to ensure the will maker’s assets are distributed as per their wishes. It’s the executor’s responsibility to fulfil their requests.

You must always act in the best interests of the estate and beneficiaries and protect the assets of the estate until they are distributed.

If you fail to act in the best interests of an estate and its beneficiaries, your appointment as an executor may be challenged and you may bear personal responsibility for any losses or errors.

For a full description of duties, go to Executor duties, responsibilities and risks.
