Overview

Beverley Mary Kearney, affectionately known as Bev, passed away peacefully on 5 June 2025, aged 86, surrounded by her loving children. Born in Longreach, Bev was a cherished resident of Townsville and Magnetic Island for over six decades, with her final years spent in care at Villa Vincent.

Bev was a devoted mother to Bernice, Veronica, Peter, and Colleen, adored Nanny to 13 grandchildren and Bog Nanny to 22 great-grandchildren, and a true friend to many.

The family extends their deep gratitude to the staff of the Carroll Wing at Villa Vincent for their compassion and dignity in caring for Bev.

Now free from pain and dementia.
“You’ll always be our guiding star.”

A celebration of Bev’s life will be held at a later date.
